We're getting somewhere!
The walls and ceiling are white, the loft is in place (we only need to paint the front panel), the boards in the nocks are in place and in the front part of the attic we have our TL light back. In the back part of the attic (the actual hobby room to be) we almost have a floor, we only need to do some finishing touches along the wall that has the door. We need to make a strip of about 5 cm to get close enough to the wall for the skirting to cover the last gap. Here the TL lights are also back in place, so no more holes in the dormer ceilings, and lots of light to work by. :-D

I've started on a mural on one of the dormer sides. We're going to have a painting of our two kitties on a field of flowers (colorscheme pinkish/red, yellow and purple) in the style of Rosina Wachtmeister. We still have to think of something for the other dormer. These sides are only a plasterboard layer on top of the insulation so we can't screw anything onto the walls there, so we might as well use it as a canvas. Actually, every time I walk into the room I see so much white surface that just screams 'paint something unto me!'. ;-)

What still needs doing:
The floor in the front part of the attic. Skirting along the walls, finishing the mural(s), skirting along the corners of the walls that can not be finished any other way, find and fix a TL light for the back attic nock, painting the loft front panel and some other small things and.. and... well.. enough little chores left. But we almost have a floor! Not too long now and we can move in some furniture that has been cluttering our living room and guest room.

Unfortunately our next weekends are all planned full. First we have the annual EE weekend, after that we have rehearsal weekend with Amersical, then on Saturday the 9th I'm going to BlackHackz (aahh! Need a costume!) and on the 16th we have another decor/costuming day for Amersical (need to make my own costume for that too...).

Why there are no pictures yet, you ask? Because I hate the camera and it hates me back. It eats batteries for breakfast and everytime I want to use the thing it complains that the batteries are dead...

Last year we were late, but still in at the end for the dansstage, this year I was on time! Matthijs did not have to subscribe because he'll be doing the sound stuff, so I was 'all alone' refreshing the page at 16:00. Well, not quite alone because in 5 minutes the whole thing was sold out. But I'm in!

So, March 8-10 (it's getting later every year) we'll be back at the Enschede campus again for lots of dancing!
