Maladignia's blog
Sitting cat Welcome to my home-cooked journal.
Here you will find my rants about every day life and things that keep me busy.
In the past I have frequently written, but there's no saying if I'll continue on that path. It all depends on how busy I am.
Have fun reading my scribbles.
EE weekend

Last weekend was the Evolution Events weekend, a nice unofficial weekend with 'the guys' at my place here in Enschede. We chilled, drank booze, played a game, watched some movies (one of them really horrible), chatted and ate pizza.

The new EE website is up and running as well. It's skinnable (by us) and the center part stretches and shrinks with the size of your browser. So if you have a very wide resolution, it will stretch to fit, using available space for content. Design was done by Olga, who has also made a new fantastic trailer, which can be found on our new multimedia section on the website.

Next to fun we also had some plotting and propping to do for coming Exodus event. Sna brought me a lot of fabric for costumes and Sunday evening, after the house was clean again, I started working. And then my locker broke. Some part literally broke off, so it will have to be brought to a shop for reparations. Bugger! Then again, a general checkup would be nice and I'm a working girl so I'll be able to just pay the bill without having to save for months first.

Another nasty thing is that the navigation system that I ordered was 'delivered' on Friday the 30th. I was away for 2 hours that day and naturally missed the delivery, so there was a note in my mailbox telling me that on Saturday the 1st of September (i.e. the next day) the package would be delivered somewhere between 09.00 and 13.00. It never came. On Monday there was no delivery either but of course I only thought of calling SelektVracht at 17.08 when they were 8 minutes closed.
Today I wasn't at home either (at Amsterdam for work) and I didn't bring the phone number, so I filled in some form on their website. Still waiting for a reply.

And then there's this car thing. My mom's new car will arrive (hopefully) half November, when I was looking forward to driving it this month. I have booked the car for Aon, but we'll have to figure out how my mom will be going to work that day or if I have to pick up the car in Apeldoorn.

Also been hacked again. * sigh * Ninni had a leakage in the old Wordpress blog that I used for my graduation project. Some asshole put some movies on my server (it's a really fast network here) and tried to connect to a botnet via ninni. Fortunately the campus here detects such things and put ninni in quarantine, which pointed me (or actually Matthijs) to the hack. I have upgraded Wordpress to the newest stable release now and Matthijs is installing a firewall. Geez... two times in a few months....

The planning for Varaashi-in-loincloth has been done this weekend, but now I have to get ready for Aon. Still not all my gear is ready and I don't have any feeling with the character yet. I've just been too busy with other things lately to even look forward to Aon. However, my costume looks nice on me and leaves plenty of room for warm underclothes. Something that will definitely be necessary in this cold climate.
