Wow, long time silence from me. Sorry, still busy with the attic. In fact the first and second day of Christmas were largely spent on the attic and all other free days around these holidays too. So much got done! And so much still needs doing...

One piece of bad news is that our newly plastered wall is sporting wet spots. We think that the chimney of our neighbours is collecting rainwater through the joints and slowely this leaks down and tries to exit the walls into our house. If this does not get fixed our fresh plaster will come loose... Our own chimney (on the other side of the house) has the same problem but we have no fresh plaster there, it just leaks down and forms a puddle on the floor. Not so good either. So we're in for a pricey renovation of our own chimney and I sincerely hope that our neighbours will take care of theirs, before we can do the whole plastering circus again (a.k.a. Hell).
