Thank you all
Thank you all for the support you offered me via this blog, msn, phone or real life. Thanks for all the offers for a listening ear. At the moment things seem allright. I have been in Ermelo this weekend, in between the Fantasy Fair days. Everything seemed normal, my parents behaved like they did before they made the decision to separate. So I am not really reminded of that decision. I think the real blow (or say a worse one than this one) will come when my mother starts moving out and things really change. For now, life seems normal and goes on. Last weekend I went to the Elf Fantasy Fair to promote for Evolution Events. I also had a nice walk around the fair, buying stuff. I bought a Robin Hobb trilogy (the Tawny Man), a piece of decoration for my living room (it's a sun mobile with oily-golden marbles in a frame) and an ocarina or xun. It's a ceramic 'squashed egg' with a little neck to blow in and a total of 8 finger holes. 6 on the top and 2 on the bottom for the thumbs. And of course one hole to actually let the air out, which should not be closed. I never played a musical instrument before except for music lessons at school. But I already managed two children songs ('vader jacob' and 'boer er ligt een kip in het water'), silent night and the first few tones of one of Omnia's songs. The hard part is to keep the ocarina to your mouth when you want to have all holes open, which means less grip. Well, as I said, life goes on and at the moment I should be working. So this is the end of this post. :) Written by Brenda :: 24 Apr 2007 - 13:14 :: 0

And then it shattered...
My parent's holiday is off. In fact.. their whole marriage is off. They were here this evening to tell my brother and me that they are going to seperate, have a divorce. My parents. Almost the only parents of my whole highschool class that were still together. They face my childhood cancer, the first three hard years of my brother's life, they went through the period of my dad's unemployment, they faced the problems that my mom had at work together. But now it is over. The solid rock that I thought their marriage to be suddenly crumbled to pieces. It feels like a bad dream, but I know that it won't be gone by next morning. Preparing for Destiny IX
Since I can borrow my mother's car next Friday to drive to Bladel where Destiny IX will be held, I wanted to practise some more in her car. It's a 156 km trip to Bladel with 135 km of highway and it's my first big trip. Or well, it was to be my first big trip. But today we did some practising. First we did some grocery shopping and with the Easter Holiday it was rather crowded on the parking lots near the supermarkets. So I had a good share of practise in handling aggressive driving styles, people with grocery carts, backwards parking etc.
Afterwards I told my mom that I wanted to do some highway practise too and she immediately made an appointment with my aunt for a visit. So I drove us to Deventer and back. All these preparations are not only for next Friday, but also for May 16th till the 6th of June, when my parents are on vacation and I can use my mother's car. :D And in September my mother will get her new car and I can have her old one. Yay, my own four wheels! Hmm, tried to check what my last blog post said about my work, wether I told you all about my new-contract-with-extra-money or not when I discovered that my blog was broken. Ninni still responded via putty, and I soon discovered that only my blog was broken, my site still worked. "Check the error log" is what Matthijs would say, but where to find my error log? After some searching in random directories I found my error log. Telling me that there was an 8 where a 'something else' was expected on line 1141 of some file. Didn't know what it meant but when I took a look at said file I found that a { had been transformed into something like 8'Xa or something. So I changed it to { again and my blog was back!!
